The Wherry has now gone into the pressure barrel for its second fermentation. I managed to get a really good second hand barrel from the home brew shop in Coalville for the princely sum of 15 quid......

Homebrew

I bought a six bottle Chardonnay from Wilkinsons the other week which is clearing nicely. Add to this a 40 pint Woodfordes Wherry kit that is bubbling away in the downstairs loo and that should keep me stocked up for a good few weeks

The Garden

What dreadful weather so far. Finally this weekend I have managed to sow shallots and garlic (yes, I know very late)together with peas and carrots. Canes are set for the runner beans in a couple of weeks and lots of other stuff to do with tomatoes and herbs. Let's hope this nice snap continues........
